The first Sunday in June saw the final Sunday school lesson from the We Believe curriculum. This summer we will focus each week on a variety of short bible readings with an art project to follow.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS for June were Peggy Ciolino, Alison Tamminga and Chris Grant.
During July we will celebrate with red, white and blue, tell the Joseph’s Coat story and remind people about the good news with the help of a rabbit. We’ll make feet to follow Jesus and finally consider the idea of spreading the word by “fishing for men”.
During worship service, Alison offered APPRECIATION and small gifts to those who work with children during the year. Sunday school teachers this year were Sandy Adams, Peggy Ciolino, Marilyn Gross, Sue Kremser and Chuck Roth. Ashley Adams continued as the nursery coordinator and June Aldritt staffed the juice and crackers table. All are greatly valued and we thank them.
Summer is a time to take things a little easier and perhaps join Ben Eggli and our Youth families at a GOLETA BEACH PICNIC on the last Wednesday of the month during the summer.
Planning is well underway for the Villa Music and Arts Camp which takes place July 30-August 3 from 9:00 to 2:00 pm each day and lasting until 3:00 on Friday, August 3 after a field trip. The presentation will be during the August 5 worship service. This year’s play is an original story entitled Noah’s Ark: Behind the Scenes. You won’t want to miss this event! Shirley has some sign ups or you can ask me and I’ll email them to you. Email me at email@example.com.
Children from 2nd through 6th grade are welcome. Check with your children, their friends and your grandchildren.
Blessings to all,
