November Sunday school lessons begin with God speaking in the stillness where we can receive reassurance if we pay attention. In the story of Jeremiah, children learn how God might call them.  Amos illuminates ideas of fairness and justice and finally, Daniel’s story provides an opportunity to discuss trusting God.

Sandy Adams taught Sunday school for the month of October and we thank her.

On Pastor Jim’s first Sunday with us, we were pleased to have Angelia and Noella helping hand out Bulletins.

The annual Halloween cookie and pumpkin decorating, along with card making, was an intergenerational success and we’re thankful for all who participated. Norma and Lorraine made delicious pumpkin cookies, Lorraine made icing and supervised the enthusiastic cookie decorators, Jeannie and Marilyn helped with set up and cleaning up and lots of people came to join us and sample those cookies! Marilyn and Bertie helped me deliver the beautiful results to homebound members.

And Thanksgiving is almost here and then it will be December! Stay tuned for news of a special service on Sunday, December 22.

 Fall blessings to you,
